Maria Parhomenko,
FESS student:
«The trip with nine students from the FESS Student Council was amazing. It is important to have a Team Building, and since we have been working in this line-up for several years now, it was useful for the whole team to have a little rest. Walking around beautiful St. Petersburg gave us a lot of positive emotions from this three-day trip. By the way, we were extremely lucky with the weather – there was no rain at all. So, we made the most of every day, saw the beauty of St. Petersburg, strolled along old streets of the city and enjoyed its incredible atmosphere. However, the only business-related venue we managed to visit was the watch factory: there we learned many interesting peculiarities of production and marketing of the Raketa watch, which was interesting and informative for us – future managers».

FESS student:
«Our group of 10 Russian and 5 Italian students visited many places in St. Petersburg, among which were the Winter Palace and the Hermitage, as well as such must-see tourist attractions as the Admiralty, Kazan Cathedral and St. Isaac's Cathedral. We walked through almost half of the city to the Gulf of Finland, where Zenit Arena and the Lakhta Centre are located. I loved St. Petersburg in the evening: the city was especially beautiful in the night-lights. Our trip was short, but we will surely remember it forever. Though our Italian friends had even more of an experience than we did».
Michael Berlizev,
FESS student:
«There were 20 of us. Although a lockdown in the city was followed by its inevitable inconveniences, we really enjoyed the trip. On the first day we went to see the 'calling card' of Nizhny Novgorod – the longest staircase in Russia, connecting the Verkhne-Volzhskaya and Nizhne-Volzhskaya embankments. The next day, the sunny weather allowed us to see the beauty of this ancient Russian city to the full; the view of the Volga was especially fascinating – the panorama of this majestic river and its lush vegetation was a strong impression for us Muscovites.
Afterwards, we visited the famous Christmas tree Company, the Novgorod Kremlin, and walked around the historic centre of the city. Then, during a "foresight session", leading hoteliers of the Nizhny Novgorod region suggested that we develop a student tourism project. Thus, we divided into three project groups on three different tourist destinations: Murmansk, Kostroma and Kaliningrad. The task of each team was to build and think out in detail a tourist tour for students with its own specifics in each chosen region. It was very interesting for us to work with experienced hoteliers to understand all the nuances that influence the flow of tourists in one way or another. At the end of the session, each team presented their vision of various student travel formats. Overall, the trip was enjoyable».
