The study by the internet portal MBA.SU, presenting the top-30 Russian business schools, is based exclusively on a survey of MBA and Executive MBA program graduates. The ranking results reflect their satisfaction with the education. The first People's Ranking by MBA.SU was compiled in 2010 and has been published annually since then. It is independent and reflects the current situation in business education with a high degree of objectivity.
In the 2023 survey, 928 people who studied at 39 business schools in ten regions of Russia and representing at least 95% of today's national MBA and EMBA program market participated. The survey was conducted with the assistance of business school alumni associations and the Russian Association of Business Education (RABE). The shortlist of the XIV People's Ranking includes business schools from which at least 20 questionnaires were received.
The survey involved graduates of MBA programs of varying costs – from inexpensive online to premium full-time programs. The price of the program is not an unconditional indicator of its quality - more important is the role of more competent and highly paid teachers, as well as a wider assortment of courses and training.
According to the survey, the incomes of mid-level managers after completing the MBA program increased by an average of 52%, senior managers – by 48%, and business owners – by 91% (fig. 1). It should be noted that there was no decrease in earnings among the participants.

The increase in income of graduates is often accompanied by a rise in their job status. The greatest career growth was shown by mid-level managers – 55%, and line managers – 54% (fig. 2).

The audience structure of MBA graduates after training has significantly changed, especially in the categories of senior and mid-level managers. The proportion of the former increased, while the latter decreased due to the transition to a higher status.

Note: The ranking takes into account the assessments of MBA and Executive MBA program graduates regardless of the form of training (full-time, part-time, modular, blended, distance, etc.). Therefore, any possible interpretations of the results will inherently be incorrect.
