A Student from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences Became a Prize Winner in Two Case Championships from Major Russian Companies

Case championships are competitions where youth teams solve relevant business problems from various companies and government organizations.
Over the past month, a second-year bachelor's student from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), Andrey Osin, became a semi-finalist in the scholarship program 'Vkusno i tochka' and the winner of the case championship by Gazprombank. The participants faced complex business tasks, which Andrey successfully managed and found comprehensive creative solutions.
Over the past month, a second-year bachelor's student from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), Andrey Osin, became a semi-finalist in the scholarship program 'Vkusno i tochka' and the winner of the case championship by Gazprombank. The participants faced complex business tasks, which Andrey successfully managed and found comprehensive creative solutions.
Scholarship Program from 'Vkusno i tochka'
The program aimed to support active students among the company's employees, as well as external applicants. This championship consisted of 3 stages: selection stage, semi-final, final. The selection stage included 15 mini-tasks aimed at finding creative solutions to improve the operation of a fast-food restaurant. The solutions to the Mini-tasks showed the participants' ability to think creatively and unconventionally.
Example task: "Imagine you are a mobile application software development specialist. Your colleagues face the task of inventing an order placement method that allows the consumer to do it in 30 seconds".
Case Championship from Gazprombank
The main task for the championship participants was to propose an innovative idea to solve a real problem faced by the company.
Task: "Develop proposals to optimize the onboarding and adaptation process of new employees in the financial sector using artificial intelligence technologies and/or gamification."

«For me, this was the first experience of participating in case championships, but the tasks that were given there were not new to me. After completing each competition, I asked myself, 'What helped me win?' Eventually, I always came to the same answer: It's thanks to the faculty, the teachers who put their soul into the students, and the hands-on approach.
I started my journey in the position of a project manager from the first year. This allowed me to develop a wide range of skills and learn to immerse myself deeply in the essence of the tasks set, approaching their solution from different sides, which came as a surprise to the organizers».
