BMW Group President gave a lecture to FESS students

On the 25th of February Mr. Stefan Teuhert, President of BMW Group, lectured FESS RANEPA students. Before the lecture, Mr. Stefan Teuhert met with RANEPA vice-rector Ivan V. Fedotov. The gratitude of the Academy’s rector was handed to the guest for participation in educational process.
Mr. Stefan Teuhert finalised the Educational course of BMW company of 2018-2019 study year with his lecture. Leading specialists of BMW elaborated the Educational course for students of Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (FESS). Since October 2018 heads of BMW departments have been giving a lot of lectures to the students, they gave dozens of workshops and analysed a lot of cases together. In addition, they offered three business projects that FESS students developed with German Fresenius University (with a prior presentation in Munich and final presentation in Moscow) and Italian Pisa University (with final presentation in Italy).

The topic of the lecture was «The future of the individual mobility». Mr. Stefan Teuhert started his English lecture with a phrase in Russian: «Это моё перовое выступление перед студентами в России» (This is my first lecture for students in Russia). He added: «Я надеюсь, что эта лекция будет для вас интересной» (I hope that the lecture will be interesting for you). We should notice that the lecture was not only interesting, but fascinating. In social media some students named it the best lecture in their educational biography. Mr. Stefan Teuhert managed to hold the long lecture in one breath. He immediately involved the audience in his view on the future of automobile world and changes in individual mobility connected with it. The students were very interested with the idea of the global company’s director about modern trends of automobile market — digitalization, carsharing, sustainable development — and outlooks on creation of fundamentally new cars in Russia.
The lecture and presentation proceeded with many questions from students on very different topics: from artificial intelligence of future automobiles to management style of Mr. Stefan Teuhert as CEO of one of the largest international companies.
In the end General manager handed gratitude letters to FESS students, who participated in BMW projects.
Vasiliy Melnikov, BMW Group corporate communications director, noticed that the company management was pleasantly surprised by the results of the Educational course at FESS RANEPA and by the high quality of projects, developed by students. He assured that BMW Group would continue reciprocal cooperation with the Academy in the new study year.
